Our reasonable attorney fees start at $250 for a Joint Petition. If both parties are willing to cooperate with a Joint Petition for an uncontested divorce, the matter can be closed quickly without the need for a court appearance.
The laws of the State of Nevada have in place a form of divorce called a Summary Proceeding for Divorce, or more commonly, a Joint Petition.
A Joint Petition can only be used in the case of a totally uncontested divorce. All issues have to be agreed upon. Both parties must be willing to sign the divorce paperwork. One of the parties must be a resident of the State of Nevada, having been physically present and domiciled within the State for a least six weeks prior to the filing of the divorce paperwork. Only one party need provide what is called a resident witness; a person who also lives in Nevada and can sign an affidavit stating that they know one of the parties in the divorce action, see them on a regular basis, and know that they live within the state. Our office generally prepares all paperwork ready to be signed within 24 hours. The following sets forth exactly the cost of the uncontested Joint Petition:
